Privacy Policy
This statement describes actual file actions, folder access, and local storage in the current SparkleRight 1.0.0 development preview. It does not imply an App Store release.
1. Scope and contact
SparkleRight is Sparkle’s macOS context-menu file utility. This statement covers the app, Finder extension, and system Services invoked by the user. Contact sparklebossletter@outlook.com after removing unnecessary private paths, file contents, or authorization material.
2. Information processed
Commands process selected file or folder names, paths, types, sizes, modification times, and contents needed for the chosen action. Image conversion, ZIP, creation, copying, and moving read or write selected files. Checksums are calculated locally from selected ordinary files.
Action switches, language, menu display, favorite folders, scope, security-scoped bookmarks, template names, and imported copies are stored locally. Copy-name, path, and file-URL commands write their results to the system clipboard; the app does not continuously record clipboard history. Cut references remain in memory for the current run; originals stay unchanged before a move.
3. Access and local coordination
System pickers grant sandbox access to user-selected files or folders; security-scoped bookmarks support later access. The Finder extension and app use an App Group for shared configuration and action requests, which may contain actions, selected paths, destinations, and access bookmarks. Do not publicly share those files.
Enabling the extension or limiting menu scope does not itself grant file access. The current app does not request Full Disk Access, screen recording, Input Monitoring, or Apple Events automation permission. Independent system, file-system, and external-service restrictions still apply.
4. Retention and management
Settings and grants persist for reuse without a universal automatic expiry. Removing a favorite or scope entry does not delete the folder or revoke saved access. The access manager removes selected saved grants; some current access may last until quitting.
Imported templates retain app-managed copies. After removing a template entry, unused copies can be individually confirmed and moved to Trash. Accepted or explicitly invalid requests are consumed individually; some undelivered requests can remain. The manager lists app-owned requests older than two minutes; clearing one does not delete original files or repeat the action.
Optional local command diagnostics start disabled. When explicitly enabled, they may retain time, stage, process, action, or path details without automatic upload. The app provides no separate library encryption, universal automatic cleanup, or cloud deletion service. System backups or synced folders may retain additional copies.
5. Networks and external services
The current app has no account, ads, telemetry, cloud sync, or in-app updater, and no app network-access entitlement. It does not automatically upload files, settings, or action records. User-initiated AirDrop, websites, other apps, cloud folders, or email involve services with their own rules. Writing into a synced folder can also trigger that provider’s synchronization.
Website hosting differs from local app processing and may receive IP addresses, requests, and browser information. The app’s Privacy Policy & Terms & Licenses button still has no configured URL and is disabled; use this website’s documents entry.
6. Choices and changes
Pause context-menu entries, quit the app, manage system extensions and saved grants, and manage local templates or records as needed. Check actions and destinations for sensitive files; do not send support unnecessary contents or authorization material. Changes to features, distribution, or data behavior require a dated policy update, not claims based on future plans.

Terms of Service
Understand file actions, system access, result checks, and current availability before using SparkleRight.
1. Availability and requirements
Like SparkleShot, SparkleRight is preparing for Mac App Store distribution without a public download yet. macOS 15 or later is required. Local builds include Apple silicon and Intel; that is not verification of every system, drive, cloud provider, or extension context, and is not Apple approval. Store links, pricing, dates, and final distribution conditions depend on the actual release.
2. Authorization and responsible use
Process only material you may access, change, or share, respecting organizational, system, and cloud-provider rules. System grants, menu scope, and ownership are separate. Do not use the utility to bypass another person’s access rights.
Creation, conversion, aliases, and extraction produce new results, with numbering for generated-name conflicts. Copy and move stop on existing names. Moving, wallpaper changes, and deletion use the applicable confirmation. Check targets, destinations, and completed results, and retain independent backups of important material.
3. Format and device limits
Archive actions target ZIP, with limits including 10,000 entries, 1 GiB per file, and 2 GiB total. Symbolic links, special files, and unsafe paths are rejected. Drive, permission, or source changes during execution may produce partial completion, which is reported. Retrying does not undo completed work.
Image conversion retains originals, uses the first frame of animations, and fills transparent JPEG areas white. Filename repair requires preview and confirmation and cannot infer every encoding correctly. Download cloud files first; read-only drives do not permit in-place creation, moving, or conversion. Reconnected or moved folders may need access again.
4. Deletion and recovery
Cut stores references; files move only after Paste Move and confirmation. Pending references do not survive quitting. Trash handles one item at a time; permanent deletion requires one ordinary file and its complete name, and cannot be restored from Trash. Moving contents out retains the original empty folder and does not apply to app or document packages.
Removing configuration entries, revoking saved access, or clearing template copies or undelivered requests affects the corresponding item only. These actions do not clean user files, restore backups, or revoke every system permission.
5. External services and support
Finder extensions, system Services, Terminal, AirDrop, other apps, and file providers depend on system availability and their own terms. This is an independent product, not an official Apple, Microsoft, or other third-party product, and does not rely on a competing commercial tool’s license.
Contact sparklebossletter@outlook.com. Remove personal paths, file contents, and authorization material when reporting version, system, and issue details. No promise is made of compatibility with every external device or future OS, or of App Store review outcomes.
6. Licenses and statutory rights
Software use is governed by its license; third-party components retain their respective terms. The app is provided as available and as is to the extent permitted by applicable law, without a promise that failures cannot occur. No disclaimer excludes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Effective distribution terms and mandatory law apply where relevant.

Software License
Distinguish SparkleRight’s own software, future store copies, and separately licensed components.
1. Proprietary software
© 2026 Sparkle. All Rights Reserved. Except where separately authorized, rights in SparkleRight’s own code, interface, icons, brand, and documents are reserved. Component open-source licenses do not make the whole product open source. No public copy is distributed yet; this statement is not permission to download, redistribute, or publish it.
2. Future store and test copies
Copies actually distributed through the Mac App Store use Apple’s Standard EULA and store rules unless an effective custom EULA is provided. Before that release, this page is not a claim of availability, submission readiness, or approval.
Non-store development or test copies are limited to purposes and scope expressly permitted by the rights holder. Without separate permission, do not resell, sublicense, publicly distribute, or use Sparkle branding to imply a partnership. These general restrictions do not exclude uses, modifications, or other rights expressly permitted by applicable law or component licenses.
3. Independent component licenses
WebP 1.6.0 is statically linked in the current app and uses its BSD-style three-clause license and accompanying patent grant. Original copyright, conditions, disclaimer, and patent grant are retained and downloadable. Those original texts govern component rights and obligations.
ZIP uses the public macOS libarchive interface. System frameworks and components are supplied by macOS; their use grants no Apple or other trademark, endorsement, or branding rights.
4. Your content and retained rights
Existing rights in user files, imported templates, and generated material remain with their lawful owners. This software license grants no rights to third-party content. Unspecified rights are reserved without excluding rights required by law. Contact sparklebossletter@outlook.com for licensing questions.

Third-Party and Open-Source Notices
These notices follow valid materials bundled with the current project. System or competing-product licenses are not extended to SparkleRight itself.
1. WebP 1.6.0
WebP image encoding and decoding use the WebP 1.6.0 static library. The project retains its source archive, fixed digest, static-library build script, COPYING, and PATENTS. Publication materials provide the original license and patent texts, with an upstream link below.
Component use, modification, and redistribution must retain the required copyright, conditions, and disclaimer, without using Google or contributor names for endorsement. The accompanying original English texts govern precise conditions and patent scope.
2. System and proprietary portions
ZIP calls system libarchive; the interface and file operations use public macOS frameworks. No Homebrew dynamic runtime is bundled. SparkleRight’s own icons and implementation do not use competing-product code or assets or imply third-party authorization, partnership, or certification.
3. Materials and updates
Downloads preserve original license and patent wording instead of substituting SparkleRight’s proprietary license. New or changed components require fresh version checks and updated notices.
